The new UBC library has a book archive visible from outdoor windows on the north side, and it is worth visiting. A long mechanised arm picks out the filing-cabinet-sized metal box containing the book you've requested. It's many stories deep into the earth (forgive the pun). This is one of the first dozen photographs taken with the D5000.
