Crossing the Swinomish Channel

Neverending highway bridge.
Day Four was a little flatter, as (with this very bridge) we crossed from the various islands and peninsulae to the mainland of Washington state, where we even found some flat windy farmland to ride around on. Lunch was at a little beach park full of oyster-collecting schoolchildren. The day ended with Chuckanut drive (a little hilly again), which we followed right into Bellingham and its train station. The Amtrak brought us home.
