Strawberry poison dart frog

These little frogs take care of their tadpoles. After the lucky couple lay and fertilize their eggs together, the male keeps them moist by watering them with his bladder. The female returns on instinct when they hatch and allows the tadpoles to suck* a ride on her back, one-by-one, to a private pool of water in a plant or tree nook. She then spends the next month or two making the rounds of their individual little abodes, dropping off unfertilized eggs every few days, as a meal for her little tykes.
* literally: they must give mom a whopper of a hickee
